John has a passion for nature and New Zealand scenery. This passion is reflected in his photographs which bring to life the many stunning landscapes, seascapes, and wildlife of his country.

Since his retirement from the operational side of his farm advisory business, he enjoys travel both within NZ and overseas. His enjoyment of travel involves taking pictures that tell a story and capture the essence of the wildlife and its habitat. A recent trip to the Antarctic provided an opportunity to photograph the scenery and wildlife of the Southern Ocean, the Falkland Islands, South Georgia Island, the Antarctic Peninsula, and nearby Islands.
